Im so confused by big celebrities ‘raising’ money for charity and being applauded and celebrated for that. They are millionaires or billionaires….they own 53 houses….they could give away money everyday….they dont need to ‘raise’ money, donations from poor people…they have money..confusing

Because they’re raising awareness for whatever charity they’re working for. They’re using their platform to raise money and awareness, rather than just giving a donation and leaving it at that. If they just donated, and no one knew, no one would be compelled to do it also. Raising money for it helps in the long run because more people are willing to get involved in raising money/donating for the cause for years to come

They can raise awareness and donate their money at the same time LOL
